Three Months Old

Hello everyone!
Can't believe Lance is already 13 weeks old. He is growing so fast - and doing more and more each day. He can sit up now (with a little help) and just loves the new view of the room. He is is working really hard to figure out the creeping thing - just needs to figure out he needs to move arms as fast as he is moving his legs. He can scoot pretty good on his back - makes it from one end of crib to other where his toy is that lights up and plays music - he likes to kick it on - more than once we have heard it on at 3 AM! Lance is a good sleeper but in past few weeks is much more social and looking for visitors - especially in middle of night- we quickly picked up that he just was looking for company (going from scream to the smiling and cooing kind of gave it away) so little tough love (which was super hard on us but everyone said a "must do") he is no longer crying for us in middle of night - and sleeps solid 10-11 hours. He's getting pretty good at putting himself to sleep.
Lance is definitely learning our voices and habits really well. Tonight when Heath called, he said hello to Lance on phone and Lance looked over to garage door - then back at me with expression of "where is he?" - it was very cute.
We hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving this week! We have so much to be thankful for this year!
Cheers,
Judith

Two Month Check up Report

Hello, Lance had his two month check up at Dr. Leonhardt's today. Unfortunately, it was scheduled just about the end of his usual nap time, so I tried to gently put him in his car seat - he didn't wake up until just before the nurse called us back to the room. It was cute because it was one of those days he woke up cooing - which the nurses all got a kick out of as we weighed and took all his measurements. Lance has been growing fast- here's his stats as of today: Weight= 12 lb and 13 1/2 oz (75% for his age); Head circumference =16 inches (50% for his age) and the best for last Height= 24 1/4 inches (90% for his age)!!! Dr. Leonhardt was impressed with how long Lance is already - she predicts he is going to be very tall boy! Lance was healthy all around and did really well with all the poking from the doctor. Then....the shots came - he had no idea what was about to hit - so sad - cooing away then WHAM - one, two and three shots in matter of one minute. He cried big time but settled back down as soon as Nurse Natalie left the room. He took another power nap when we got home then was back to kicking and cooing as we waited for Dad to come home! He had great bath and was off to sleep about 7 PM! Have a good night and remember to VOTE tomorrow!!! Judith

Happy Halloween

Hello,
Well better late than never, we are finally joining the "blogging world" to keep you updated on our little man "Studbaby Jehlik" aka Lance Robert. Lance is 10 weeks old now and has his doctor's appointment tomorrow (Monday) to get his next round of vaccine shots (yuck) and update on his stats (weight, height, etc). We estimate he is between 14-15 lbs from our rough weighing at home.
He has been up to lots of new things lately- the best sleeping through the night (>8 hours); rolling over from tummy to back and even vice versa a few times; he talks alot now -can even talk himself to sleep too! He is also full of lots of smiles for everyone too, especially Daddy and Mommy. He has noticed his cats too - Nala and Mufasa and looks for them when I ask him "where's Nala or Mufasa". Biggest fascination - the ceiling fans by far! (ha,ha) and he still loves music - especially if you sing to him.
I am attaching few pictures from his First Halloween which he had good day - went to visit DE Harvey Builders and was voted "cutest pumpkin" by multiple people in the Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest!!
Cheers, Judith
